tanro ("the app") is a personal training tracker. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.
Information we collect
- Account information. You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google as part of that sign-in.
- Training data you enter. Workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, splits, body weight, and readiness check-ins you log in the app.
-
Strava data (optional). If you choose to connect Strava, we
request read-only access to your activity history and profile
(
activity:read_all,profile:read_all) so your runs can appear alongside your training data. You can disconnect Strava at any time from Settings, which revokes our access. - AI chat messages. If you use the AI chat feature, your messages and relevant training context are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response, and the conversation is stored so you can revisit it.
- Basic site analytics. On our marketing pages (tanro.app and the waitlist page — not the app itself), we use Google Analytics to see page views, which site referred you here, and whether you clicked "Request an invite" or joined the waitlist. This doesn't identify you personally.
How we use this information
Solely to run the app: authenticating you, storing and displaying your training history, syncing Strava activities you've connected, and powering the AI chat feature. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Data is processed by the services that make the app work:
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication.
- Google — sign-in, the Gemini API for AI chat responses, and Google Analytics on our marketing pages.
- Strava — only if you connect your account.
We don't share your data with anyone else.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email ritvik@tanro.app.
